A Pinoy Mardi Gras
MANILA, Philippines - The College of the Holy Spirit Manila (CHSM) celebrated its annual homecoming last Feb. 1 at its campus in Mendiola, Manila. Theme for this year’s event was “Pinoy Mardi Gras” to showcase the pomp and pageantry of Filipino festivals. The whole day affair was the combined creative effort of the CHS Alumnae Foundation (CHSAF), Golden Jubilarians HS-59 and Coral Jubilarians HS-74. It was fiesta day at CHSM.
The celebration began with a mass officiated by Fr. Jerry Orbos, SVD. During the Offertory, representatives from the jubilarians classes came forward to offer their pledges to the “Commitment Tree”, a project instituted by the CHS Alumnae Foundation to support the school’s Legacy Projects. Legacy Projects consist of strategic initiatives under the school’s Institutional Development Plan.
