Education, technology and industry converge at Universal College

MANILA, Philippines - Situated along Dr. A. Santos Avenue, Paranaque City, Universal College is very accessible to all major transportations from neighboring cities and communities. The school caters to all socio-economic classes and provides competent and high-caliber faculty and personnel to ensure quality learning and development for every student.

On its first year of operation in 2005 the Bachelor of Science in Nursing started with several sections in the first year level. Additional courses were offered to students like Hotel & Restaurant Management, Tourism, Business Administration and Information System. In 2008, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) granted full recognition to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Bachelor of Science in Information System (BSIS).

The expansion of the college paved the way for additional courses in Business and Education and the two-year courses in HRM and Practical Nursing. The school has been updating its facilities and equipment to ensure optimum education for the increasing school population.

Aside from excellence in academics, the college also fosters physical development and values for holistic formation of the person, thus, the creation of the Universal College Dragons basketball team which serves to promote sports and the school.

Formed by UC president Domingo Tay, the team subscribe to the motto “A sound mind and a sound body”.

Playing under coach Yong Garcia, the team has already joined the Philippine Technical Vocational Schools Association (PTVSA), Universities Schools Colleges Athletic Association (USCAA), Philippine Inter-Schools Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (PISCUAA), Universities and Colleges Athletic Association (UCAA), and the National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) where the UC Dragons hold the championship title.

On its fourth year of dedicated service and commitment, Universal College continues to explore greater heights and horizons as it strengthens its vision, mission and objectives in giving quality, professional and excellent education to the people.
