List of class suspensions due to water disruption

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Education and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council in Manila announced suspension of classes and work on August 11, 12, 17 and 18 due to Maynilad’s rotating water interruption.

The schools and work which canceled classes are affected by the water service interruption that will last until August 18.

The areas scheduled to experience service interruptions are the cities of Manila are Caloocan, Parañaque, Pasay, Makati and Las Piñas

Aside from some cities in Metro Manila, several towns in Cavite will also be affected by the water interruption. These are Cavite City, Bacoor, Imus, Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario.

Pasay City government earlier declared class suspensions in all levels of public and private schools for August 11 and 12.

Below are the list of schools and works suspended on August 11, 12, 17 and 18.

• The Lord is my Shepherd School of Manila (August 11)

Universities/Colleges/Work

• De La Salle University (August 10 and 11) -  No classes and work; Orientation for the new students of the College of Liberal Arts was moved to August 14 and 15
• Lyceum of the Philippines University (August 11) - No classes and work
• Technological University of the Philippines (August 10 to 12)- No classes
• Philippine Normal University (August 11 to 12) - No classes
• Philippine Women's University (August 11) - No classes in Taft and Indiana campuses
• Mapua Institute of Technology (August 11) - No classes
• Emilio Aguinaldo College (August 11) - No classes; There will be make-up classes on August 15, Saturday
• Santa Isabel College (August 11 and 17) - No classes for Basic Education Department 
• Santa Isabel College (August 10, 11 and 17) - No classes for Higher Education Department
• Santa Isabel College (August 11 and 17) - No NTCS and work
