UP Diliman tops October 2014 CPA boards

MANILA, Philippines - The University of the Philippines-Diliman registered a 100 percent passing rate during the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Licensure Examination last October 4.
Out of 11,137 examinees, 4,123 passed the CPA Licensure Exam, according to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
UP Diliman and University of Saint Louis-Tuguegarao were the only schools with 50 or more examinees that garnered at least 80-percent passing rate with 100 percent and 86.76 percent, respectively.

Mark Anthony Tacuboy of theUniversity of Saint Louis-Tuguegarao, topped the examination with a score of 91.14 percent.
Kevin Patrick Lim of UP Diliman and Reynald Tomas of Cagayan State University-Andrews Campus were in second place with 90.71 percent.
A total of 16 examinees garnered the ten highest scores in the October 2014 CPA Licensure Examination.
Successful examinees may register for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration from October 27 to 30. Those who will register should personally appear and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals and bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2014-2017.
The PRC is yet to announce the date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees.
