UST celebrates feast day of St. Thomas Aquinas on Jan. 28
MANILA, Philippines - The University of Santo Tomas (UST) announced on Friday that there will be no classes and office work for the Thomasian community on January 28 in celebration of the feast of Saint Thomas Aquinas.
A eucharistic celebration on Monday will be held 5 p.m. at the UST Santisimo Rosario chapel, to be celebrated by Most Rev. Jacinto Jose, D.D, bishop of Urdaneta Pangasinan, together with the UST fathers.
All administrators, faculty members students and support staff are encouraged to make the celebration as an expression of reverence and devotion to Saint Thomas Aquinas.
Saint Thomas Aquinas is a priest and doctor of the Roman Catholic Church. Born in 1226, his most important work is the Summa Theologica, an attempt to explain the entire Christian theology. He is the patron saint of students and universities.
