MANILA, Philippines - The University of the Philippines (UP) released on Monday the list of the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) passers for the academic year 2014-2015.
The UPCAT is among the most competitive college exams in the country, administered every August in 80 testing centers nationwide among senior high school students. About 80,000 students took the exam this year.
Only around 17 percent – or 12,000 applicants – pass the entrance exam in the country’s premier state university.
The UPCAT consists of four subtests – language proficiency, science, mathematics and reading comprehension.
