Join the first ever NBA.com Philippines Cheerdance Contest!

Objective: To award winners with a dance clinic led by NBA Dancers and a chance to perform during the week of the Global Games.

Contest Duration: September 13 2013 – September 23, 2013

Contest Mechanics:

1. Get at least six of your cheerdance buddies to make your own version of this video. A maximum of 12 members is allowed.

2. Pimp your dance routine on YouTube and shoot NBA Philippines a message on Facebook with the link of your video.

3. NBA Philippines will determine a shortlist of videos for voting.

4. The Team’s video with the most votes on NBA.com Philippines wins!

Contest Details:

Fans of NBA Philippines aged 13-24 can form a group of 6-12 male and/or female dancers. Participants must make a video of themselves replicating a specific dance routine by the Indiana Pacemates posted on NBA.com Philippines’s Cheerdancer section. Entrants will upload their video version of the dance routine as a public video on YouTube.

Entrants must then send the NBA Philippines Facebook page a private Facebook message with a link to their video on YouTube as their official entry. The message must come with scanned IDs of the Entrants for age verification.  Entrants must also in this message signify they are allowing it to be shared on NBA Philippines’s Facebook and Twitter.

NBA Philippines’s Marketing Team will then create a shortlist based on the best performances. Initial entries will be judged based on how perfectly the dancers execute the routine. Entertainment factor or how lively and engaging the dancers perform will also be judged. Shortlisted videos will then be posted on the cheerdancer page for fans to vote. For fans to vote, all they have to do is “Like” the video. The video with the most “Likes” wins!

The winning cheerdance team will be awarded with a private dance clinic led by NBA Cheerdancers and a chance to perform, schedule permitting, during the week of the Global Games Philippines on October. If the winning team cannot be contacted, a runner up will be selected to take their place.

Terms and Conditions

1. 2013 NBA.com Philippines Cheerdancer Clinic Contest Submissions will start September 13 and end on September 23, 2013, 12am. Voting will be from September 24 to October 4 2013 6pm..
2. The Contest is open to all fans of NBA Philippines.
3. Video entries must not contain nudity, profanity, racism or violence in any form.
4. The Contest is not applicable to X-Play Online Games Inc. and Philstar.com employees. The National Basketball Association, NBA member teams, NBA Properties, Inc., NBA Asia, Ltd., NBA Media Ventures, LLC and each of their respective affiliates, related entities, employees, officers, directors, governors, owners, representatives and agents   (collectively the "NBA Entities") are also excluded from participation.
5. The winning dance group (the “Winners” and each group member, a “Winner”) will receive a dance clinic with NBA Dancers (Date TBD) and possibly perform during the week of the Global Games in October. If the winners can successfully practice a dance routine with the NBA Cheerdancers, and if schedule permits, they will perform together.
6. Transportation to and from any meeting with the NBA Dancers or the performance together with the dancers will be the sole responsibility of the Winners.
7. For mutual protection of the parties, each Winner will be required to execute a Discharge and Release Form as a condition to participation in the clinic and the performance with the NBA dancers.
8. The Winners will be notified via Facebook Private Message. where and when they will meet the Cheerdancers for the Dance Clinic. They will be required to bring a student or government ID to verify their identity.
9. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable for cash, credit or any in kind payment.
10. X-Play Online Games Inc. and Philstar.com reserve the right to replace the prize with another product or service of equal or similar value without prior notice
11. The selection process to pick the Winners will be conducted by X-Play Online Games Inc and Philstar.com. X-Play Online Games Inc. and Philstar.com’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entertained.
12. For publicity purposes, X-Play Online Games Inc. and Philstar.com reserves the right to use names, pictures/photographs and videos of all Contest participants in any form of publicity for X-Play Online Games Inc. and Philstar.com. By entering the Contest and accepting a prize, each Winner hereby also consents to the reasonable use by the NBA Entities of such Winner's photograph, voice, likeness and/or image, contents of the entry form and the name and age of such Winner without any further compensation for any future promotional activity.
13. In the event of a dispute, a customer's entitlement to participate in this promotion and/or receive the prize is subject to the sole discretion and final determination of X-Play Online Games Inc. and Philstar.com
14. The sponsor and its corresponding agents regarding advertising and promotional actions, the NBA Entities and the suppliers of any prizes bear no responsibility for any personal injury, property damage, claims, demands, causes of action, damages or losses of any kind, including without limitation any direct, indirect, consequential, subsequent, accidental or punitive damages, suffered by a Contest participant that may arise from or in any way relate to such person’s participation in the Contest. Furthermore, the sponsor and its corresponding agents regarding advertising and promotional actions, the NBA Entities and the suppliers of any prizes bear no responsibility to any Contest participant for any additional aspects of the Contest. 

X-Play Online Games Inc. and Philstar.com reserve the right to revise these terms and conditions at any time and without notice. Participation in this promotion shall constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions and the amendments thereof.
