Coby Kyros tablets make learning easier for young students

The Philippine Star

Coby, a United States-based brand has found a way to make the learning process easier for students and teachers by incorporating some fun into learning. The company is proud to provide affordable and useful tablets whose features and quality is at par with most high-end brands. Currently, the brand has three tablet models that parents can choose from for their kids: MID 7042 (7-inch screen), MID 8042 (8-inch screen), MID 9740 (9.7-inch screen). All threetablet models boast of capacitive multi-touch screen, lightweight body, and supreme durability, ensuring parents of the device’s practicality for everyday use.

A prime example of Coby’s practicality and ease of use for young children is when a local private school in Marikina benefited from their use of Coby tablets’ exceptional features. Having integrated the school’s curriculum to the Coby tablets being used by the students, it instantly became a handy instructional tool. The Coby Kyros’ vast features – with its Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 OS, the teachers are able to transfer files faster via its USB port, make perfect and seamless presentations through its HDMI output, and make use of its video conferencing tool using the front camera. At the same time, due to the device’s rich texture and capacity to play videos, music and photo formats, the students are able to quickly grasp the course programs integrated into the device.

Moreover, an e-book reader is readily available for teachers so they can download and read thousands of books faster. E-books are usually in PDF file format, making it easy for teachers to include all course programs. This way, students will not have a hard time reading and understanding the contents of the book.

The school, which started using the electronic tablets, earlier partnered with a foreign company to make use of several models of electronic tablets, which unfortunately, broke and led to several complaints from parents. The sad experiences with the tablets were: battery life, charging time, operation and deleted modules. Administrators hid under the school tablet birth theme: “Endure Growing Pains towards Stability”. Then just last year, the students were introduced to Coby Tablets, and it was through this better experience that the school decided that Coby suits what the school needs.

The Federation of Associations of Private Schools and Administrators (FAPSA), recognizes how the use of tablets can be beneficial to students, according to FAPSA president “The usual noisy campus has become quieter and the students prefer to look into the next lesson in their tablets. Also the macro academic skills now include viewingto the usual listening, speaking, reading and writing—thus technology is really a part now of students’ lives.”

Students and teachers can definitely attest to having made a good choice with Coby and are bent on making it a part of their daily lives whether in school or at home. After all, education and technology are for everyone who is willing to grab it. Through Coby learning has been easier and more enriching.
