Manila Solar City
Ayon sa developer ng proyekto na Manila GoldCoast Development Corporation (MGDC), ang itatayo nilang Solar City ay isang “world-class commercial, residential and tourism center that will feature a park, a Boracay-inspired man-made beach and a terminal for international cruise ships. It is expected to bring between 2,500 to 5,000 tourists every week; create 100,000 jobs during construction and 500,000 jobs during operations; and provide P17 billion in tax revenues every year to the national government and P10 billion in real estate taxes to the Manila city government.â€
Ayon naman kay Manila Mayor Erap Estrada, “…the project has already been approved by the city council before I assumed office. What would be my reason to go against it? It will provide jobs and income for the city. I want to attract investors to Manila.â€
