Francis Escudero namahayag: "Mrs. Arroyo's silence on the rape issue is again disappointing the Filipinos."
Mipadayon si Escudero: "Anybody can take it as an insult to our women and to the country for that matter when American soldiers accused of raping a Filipino woman is kept hidden and protected, their rights protected, while in the same breath Filipinos accused of other crimes, real or imagined, are promptly paraded in front of the media."
Unya, sa iyang bahin, si Rep. Imee Marcos nangutana usab: "Why is it that in the case a Filipino, Mrs. Arroyo is quick to present a suspect before the media, despite unconfirmed charges?"
Samtang ang tigpamaba sa Presidente si Toting Bunye, igo lang namahayag nga kuno, "this is an isolated incident." Unsay buot niyang ipasabot, waay kaso kay isolated man? Ug nganong isolated man?
Si kanhi Senador Ernie Maceda miawhag: "The entire process must be expedited. There's enough prima facie evidence. Schedule the first court hearing this week, while the issueis still hot if we are serious in protecting our sovereignty, our dignity and self-respect."
