Narito pa ang mga karagdagang salaysay nitong si Pedro Pates, Jr., na isinumite sa 3 man panel ng Department of Justice sa dinidinig na Preliminary Investigation ng Nida Blanca Murder.
1) As a consequence of the Nida Blanca murder, I immediately went back to Manila. At about 7:30 in the evening of November 13, 2001, while at their rented place at the Sideco Apartments, Philip Medel arrived and looking disturbed. I even jokingly cautioned him to take care as there were some persons conducting surveillance on him, to which he snapped back that he was not worried for he could manage and handle them.
2) Also while at their said rented apartment on November 18, 1991, Nilo Gonzaga divulged to me that Philip Medel confessed to the killing of Nida Blanca and that he had already negotiated with the PNP-CIDG for Medel’s voluntary surrender.
3) On November 18, 2001, at about 9:30 pm, PNP-CIDG operatives arrived at their rented place at the Sideco Apartments being accompanied by Philip Medel himself, who retrieved a small kitchen knife which he voluntarily surrendered to the police operatives along with a polo shirt and pair each of pants, brown colored shoes and colored socks.
4) On November 18, 2001, Nilo Gonzaga and I went to Gen. Kintanar’s house after coming from the PNP Headquarters in Camp Crame where we attended the televised press conference with Philip Medel publicly reiterating his earlier admission that he killed Nida Blanca upon instruction and instigation of her husband, Roger Lawrence Strunk a.k.a. Rod Strunk.
5) When Nilo Gonzaga and I reached the Kintanar residence, Gen. Kintanar and one Col. Litrondo were there to receive us. Gen. Kintanar then confronted Nilo Gonzaga in my presence with the text message in Gen. Kintanar’s cell phone coming from Engr. Dodong Polinar which said: "Sir, Nilo Gonzaga is the brains behind Medel’s surrender to the authorities. He planned Medel’s surrender". Then Gonzaga bluntly replied: "That was Medel’s decision. He did that on his own."
6) In our presence, Gen. Kintanar and Col. Litrondo talked about the need to take "Effective Damage Control". Col Litrondo even remarked that Medel’s public confession of crime is of no consequence, that what was necessary was to take effective means to control the situation to be done by Medel himself during the preliminary hearing at the Department of Justice.
7)While I was still at the Kintanar residence on that day, November 19, Mrs. Kintanar approached me and said, "You know Piper (my nickname) I am worried and apprehensive about the frequent visits of Dingding Tantoco in this house." I did not reply to what she said since I did not know who Dingding Tantoco was at that time.
8) Sometime in July 2002, about two days after I gave my second sworn statement, I received a phone call from Gen Kintanar wherein he advised me that a reporter, Arlene Dela Cruz, would call me for interview and that if she came, I should clear his name by denying everything that was written about him in the newspapers linking him to the murder of Nida Blanca. I bluntly told him I could not although he pleaded for my help.
9) After several minutes, Arlene Dela Cruz called me but I refused to be interview and stood pat on my July 30, 2002 statement. Since then Arlene Dela Cruz never called me again.

•May sinabihan ka pa ba na ibang tao tungkol sa nasaksihan mong pangyayari bago ka nakapagdesisyon na magsalita at kinontak si Mr. Tony Calvento?
•Sino sya at anong pangalan niya?
•Ilang beses mo na bang nakasama yang si Art?
(Si Art ay yung lalakeng bugaw na nagdala kay Anji sa Atlanta dahil may ipakikilalang customer nung gabi bago pinaslang si Nida Blanca. Kasama nila si Mariz nung gabing yun–Calvento Files)
Kahapon, Huwebes, si Mariz naman ang humarap sa 3 man panel ng DOJ ng mga abogado ng mga respondents.
Sa puntong ito, nais ko lamang sabihin na "I am very impressed with the dedication displayed by former Justice Harriet Demetriou at ang suporta niya sa mga testigo dito sa Nida Blanca murder. To think na libre o pro bono ang serbisyo ni Harriet, ni isang hearing o meeting nuon pa mula ng magsimula ang imbestigasyon, mga meetings at ngayon hearing ng kaso ni Nida, parating nandun si Harriet.
Maliban pa sa kasong ito, marami pang kasong hawak si Harriet subalit talagang kakaiba ang tutok na ginagawa niya sa Nida Blanca Murder. Libre na nga at ni hindi matatapatan ng pera. Mabuhay kay Atty. Harriet Demetriou.
