Chemotheraphy sa breast cancer
March 21, 2004 | 12:00am
It is an illness involves the entire bodies ability to cope with a disorder. Even more unfortunately, this group of women comprises nearly 50 percent of patients with breast cancer.
There is no disease to measure and no disease to follow-up. The treatment is given to alter the odds that the tumor will recur. The way adjuvant therapy was approached initially was to enter thousands of women into a study and randomly assign one group of patients to receive chemotheraphy and the other group do not receive the chemotheraphy.
These careful statistics needed to be applied to each group of women depending on the type of breast cancer.
