Acquired Immune Defiency Syndrome (AIDS)

WHAT'S UP DOC?

Many people who are HIV positive or have AIDS turn to a regime of Microbiotic foods. However, such diets may do more harm than good as they tend to be bulky and promote weight loss because they contain too few calories. Since a diminished appetite is part of the nature of the illness, patients are likely to find it hard to eat enough microbiotic food.

The daily intake from all sources should not exceed 450 mcg. Eating should never be stressful and any food is better than none at all.
