MANILA, Philippines — Caloocan Mayor Along Malapitan maintains a strong lead over former senator Antonio Trillanes IV in the city’s mayoral race, according to a recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.

The poll, which surveyed duly registered voters in Caloocan, found that 85 percent of respondents support Malapitan’s reelection bid.

Only 10 percent of the respondents wanted Trillanes to be the next mayor of Caloocan.

Three percent of respondents remain undecided.

The poll followed a February 2025 SWS survey, which highlighted a “sharp contrast” in trust ratings between the two candidates.

Malapitan received a +75 net trust rating. Trillanes garnered a -22 net trust rating.

Other candidates for mayor in the city are Danny Villanueva, Richard Canete and Ronnie Malunes.
