Talisay captures CSBF Permiro Distrito 40UP crown
CEBU, Philippines — Talisay City pulled off a nerve-racking 98-96 win over Minglanilla in ther sudden-death final match to emerge as champion of the Cebu South Basketball Federation (CSBF) Permiro Distrito 40UP Basketball League at the Minglanilla Sports Complex recently.
In the last eight seconds of the thrilling contest, Minglanilla had a chance to either steal the match or force an overtime but the Talisaynons’ stifling defense negated their rivals from taking the final shot.
Reymond “Ampor” Tabar exploded for 27 points for Talisay to become the hands down choice sa Finals MVP.
In the battle for third place, Carcar City thrashed San Fernando, 97-77.
