The impending China's attack against Taiwan

WHAT MATTERS MOST - Josephus Jimenez - The Freeman

Both Xi Jinping and Joe Biden subscribe to the UN Doctrine called the One China Policy. That is why the US does not have an embassy in Taipei but only an institute. The Philippines too, as an unabashed subaltern to Washington DC, does not have an embassy in Taipei either. We have a MECO or what we euphemistically refer to as Manila Economic and Cultural Office which does everything an embassy is supposed to do, well, almost everything.

I have worked in Taiwan and actually lived there as a Labor Diplomat for a number of years. But I had to shed my official title as Labor Attache again because we have no diplomatic relations with Taipei. I still maintain strong ties with the Filipino communities in Taipei in the north, Taichung in the central area and Kaohsiung in the south. And based on my regular communication with my contacts there, both Filipinos, Taiwanese and Chinese, I am fully convinced that the next major war in the world will be China's impending invasion of Taiwan. It is a matter of time.

That inevitable war between China and Taiwan (with the US and NATO not far behind) will be so gargantuan that the war in Ukraine would be trivialized and could look like a tribal clash between the Manobo and the Bagobo tribes in the south. Those expected horrendous attacks by the forces of Xi Jinping would be so devastating and could make the Hezbollah and Hamas skirmishes appear like the massacre of Hacienda Luisita farmers in Mendiola. That is why my contacts in Taiwan are so worried about their safety and security, not to mention their bleak scenarios of losing their means of livelihoods as migrant workers.

It is a matter of record that, as early as October 2022 or two years ago today, the Chinese Communist Party announced to the whole world that President Xi Jinping would serve an unprecedented third term as leader of the Peoples' Republic of China. His making history in the annals of Chinese history was principally made possible because of his promise to take back Taiwan as an integral part of China in or before 20230. The series of military posturing and saber rattling all these past months are indicative of the imminent attack by Beijing against Taipei.

If that happens more than 150,000 OWs and their families are going to be directly impacted. They shall be caught in between the raging missiles from mainland China and the blitzkrieg of bombs emanating from American defenders coming from US bases in Japan, South Korea and the Philippines. The Taiwan War will be a thousand times more intense than the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by Atomic Bombs.

President Xi, as a totalitarian leader and a megalomaniac like his comrade Vladimir Putin, is palpably and indubitably manifesting strong evidence of his compulsive fixation and bullish ambitions of making a historical landmark, as the Chinese leader who shall have taken back that precious Chinese jewel of a province which is Taiwan. One strong evidence of such an obsession is the Peoples' Liberation Army's continuing military buildup in the South China Sea all the way to the Taiwan Strait up to the northern peripheries of Japan and South Korea.

The Philippines, like Taiwan, will likewise find itself caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. With the massive building up of more and more US bases in our country, we have also unwittingly invited a Chinese attack. against us. But my own intelligence information indicated to me that we are not the top priority.

Taiwan is the cream of the crop, the top of the heap and the first and foremost prize in the bucket list of a compulsive dictator in Beijing. But we shall definitely be an inevitable collateral damage. When Xi Jinping attacks Taipei, the Philippines shall not be far behind.
