Truth, justice, duty and honor

As we observe and celebrate the Lenten season this month, let us join ranks and pray that our ever-loving God bless and help our beloved Motherland.

In his infinite goodness, may God illumine the minds and touch the hearts of our leaders and government officials to pave and give way to a new order. To a new breed of morality, reinforced by time-tested and deeply-honored Christian values of truth, justice and the virtues of duty and honor… to God and country above all interests.

To free us from crippling political dysfunction and moral decadence holding back our long-delayed political stability and economic prosperity that Filipinos rightfully deserve.

May the passion of Christ’s ultimate redeeming sacrifice cast beaming light and defining wisdom to prick consciences and realize life’s inescapable mortality. That at the end of our earthly journey, to dust, we all shall be. That our conscience is all that matters to God – not the wealth nor power many people foolishly cling to.

God’s final judgment will hinge on the deeds we did to our fellow life pilgrims. Let us then do what is just, fair and right… to walk in the light!
