POLITICKING. A barangay councilman earned the ire of some of his constituents because of his insensitivity. When they asked his help to fix some houses damaged by super typhoon Odette, the councilman instead lectured them on how they were suffering now because they voted for the wrong barangay captain.

“Apilon man hinuon og pamulitika. Wa g’yud ko kaantos. Ako g’yud giingnan, ‘konsehal, away intawn apili ug politika’,” one of them told The EAR.
