It is time to change our electoral system

For our special presentation for our talk show tonight we bring you once more Atty. Glenn Chong whom we interviewed last year when he ran but failed to make it as senator. Actually, I first interview him in 2010 when he first revealed to me that the electronic or digital elections handled by Smartmatic was wracked with so much cheating. At that time, I campaigned for then Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro and, yes, it was then that I realized that he should have won over then Pres. Ninoy Aquino.

Because of his exposé regarding the cheating in our electronic election programs, on December 10, 2018, his close aide and confidant Richard “Red” Santillan was allegedly captured, tortured, and murdered by policemen of Cainta, Rizal. Chong had a meeting with Pres. Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte last year, which is why he has filed criminal cases against these policemen. Just a few days ago, he filed a case against PNP Chief Archie Gamboa for not replying to his five letters. In filing these cases, he also filed cases for obstruction of justice against the PNP Chief, something that is quite unprecedented.

We also talked about the up and coming US elections and how the Democrats may cheat in this election. He believes that for as long as the footprint of Smartmatic is in the US ballots, there will be cheating in the US elections. Then later we shifted once more to what happened in the last Philippine election of 2016. Why Mar Roxas went from second to the last to almost winning the presidency.

Finally we talked about what we could do to thwart any cheating in the coming elections two years from now which he says should be a hybrid election. I would like to reiterate that Santillan served as the personal aide and bodyguard of Chong, who was former representative of the Lone District of Biliran from the middle of June 2007 until his torture/murder on December 10, 2018. Chong treated Santillan as his own brother who served him with utmost loyalty. The killing of Santillan is my unquestionable proof that Chong was right on the dot when he exposed the Smartmatic collusion between the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and the hidden figures running Smartmatic. I actually met Santillan when I interviewed Chong in our MyTV studio in 2013.

If you want more proof, just take the great example that former Comelec chairman Andy Bautista has been exposed by his estranged wife Patricia Bautista as they were supposedly seeking an amicable settlement and division of properties. But the negotiations collapsed and Patricia accused her husband of unexplained wealth. Then sometime in July 2018 she met with Pres. Duterte and told him she had a balikbayan box full of bank books, investment documents, and other financial papers that Andy did not declare in his Statement of Assets and Liabilities and Net worth.

That the close-in security of Chong was tortured and murdered by Cainta Police is also proof that someone powerful within the Comelec tried to silence Chong, and the killing of Santillan was like warning to Chong to stop exposing the Comelec and Smartmatic mafia. Like what I wrote earlier, Chong met Pres. Duterte a year ago, which is why he is filing cases against the police who tortured and killed Santillan. We’ll report more on this as the case in court progresses.

More good news for us in Cebu City, which has “flattened the curve” of new infections following three weeks of sustained low indicators. To think we were dubbed as the “epicenter of COVID-19” in June. Call it a sort of miracle of sorts. But if indeed Cebu City has flattened the curve, then we must be doing something right. I mean, the COVID-19 virus is still with us and it just so happens that we are no longer spreading it to other people! God bless us!
