Unwilling ghost employee

THE EAR - The Freeman

SPOOKY. A carpenter said he is being “contracted” by an official who keeps him around even if he does nothing. The carpenter has had to turn down several jobs that could have made him some money on the side so he can report to the official, who gets upset if he doesn’t show up.

“Kasagaran wa ra man ko’y buhaton, manilhig ra man ko,” he told The EAR.

He added he suspects he is being used as a “ghost employee” to pad the payroll of the official’s employees.
