Social Media and the Chiong case

JUSTICE? One of the hottest topics on social media today is the controversial case that hounded headlines in Cebu and across the country 20 years ago; the Chiong sisters kidnapping case. Oddly enough, everything that comes out in social media seems to favor those who were convicted of the case; either questioning the merits of the case or calling for their acquittal altogether.

However, some are seeing it as a calculated move by a troll army to get the case reopened.

“Mora na atong salida ‘Give Up Tomorrow’ it was produced by friends of the accused to cast doubt on the case,” one source said.
