Arguing over fifty centavos

THE EAR - Associated Press

CHANGE IS COMING. After a transport group pushed to hike the PUJ minimum fare to P7.50, many commuters again predict frequent arguments between them and drivers over the P.50 change.

Drivers will always insist they have no change to give, while passengers will not give P8 because they will feel shortchanged.  So it becomes a vicious cycle.

A woman said she has prepared for just the occasion; she has hoarded a lot of P.25 coins.

"Magamit na g'yud ni," she told The Ear.
