Persona non grata in Talisay City
UNWANTED. The resolution of the Sangguniang Panlungsod in Talisay City declaring City Administrator John Yre Delos Reyes, son of Mayor Johnny Delos Reyes, a persona non grata is now the talk of the city.
NO RESPECT. SP members passed the resolution because of John Yre's alleged lack of respect to them, and posting in social media with stories that are allegedly "unethical, unprincipled, and immoral." John Yre allegedly called one city councilor "bayot" hence the resolution.
LOOSE CANNON. A resident of the city asked: "How powerful is John Yre in Talisay City Hall as compared to his father mayor? Is it true that even Mayor JVR cannot control his son's behavior?" The same resident said the city administrator's behavior like a loose cannon may pose a danger to his father's reelection bid.
