Facebook tussle

THE EAR - The Freeman

PROFILE PHOTO. Many netizens in the social media ranted why other Facebook users “forced” them to hit a new photo filter for their profile picture featuring the blue, white, and red color of the French flag following the Paris attacks. But a Facebook user told The Ear that no one forced anybody to adopt the new photo filter. “Wala man moingon ang Facebook nga kun dili mousab sa profile photo papason ang Facebook account,” the netizen said.

SYMPATHY. The same netizen told  The EAR that he was also appalled by posts and comments of other netizens who criticized people who showed their sympathy to France after the Paris attacks, since there were similar attacks in other countries like Beirut that do not receive the same intensity of support from the world. “Maglagot man ta maghunahuna. Ni-sempatiya ra gani ta. Unsa man diay dili na lang ta mo-sempatiya sa France, kay wa ta mosempatiya sa ubang nasud? Magbuot man nuon.”
