PARKING FEE. A bank employee asked an Ear informer if the City Government of Cebu tolerated the proliferation of "bantay boys" who would ask for a fee, usually P5 to P10, in exchange of assisting in parking in the city's sidewalks. "Masuko ra ba kun tagaan og P1 o P2."

ASSIST FEE. These "bantay boys" are reportedly operating side by side with the Parking Attendants wearing the blue uniform and ID issued by the Cebu City Government. The same bank employee said that after the Parking Attendant collected the P20 sidewalk parking fee, a "bantay boy" would take charge in assisting the drivers. "Igo ra gyud magwara-wara mura'g Citom, dayon kangkang sa kamot maningil pud og iya."
