City Hall rally

OFFICE HOURS. Photos and videos circulating on social media showed City Hall employees and Mayor Mike Rama conducting a rally in front of the city government building to protest against the alleged holding of the P2.8 billion Supplemental Budget-1 by the Cebu City Council. This supplemental budget was proposed to fund the productivity enhancement incentive for the city employees. Netizens however begun to ask why the mayor and the employees conducted the rally during office hours.

WHAT PRODUCTIVITY? An Ear informer also asked why the mayor capitalized the productivity bonus of the employees in his fight for a big chunk of city budget where there are other big concerns that the city needs to be funded like flooding, traffic, garbage, and other social services. This informer said in jest: "Unsa gyud tawon nga klaseng productivity ilang giingon nga wala man gyud mo-improve ang services diha sa City Hall?"
