The Pope remembers

THE EAR - The Freeman

LOLO KIKO. Pope Francis must have loved being cheered "Lolo Kiko: Lolo Kiko!" By the millions of Filipinos, especially the young ones. He found it fit to use in his speech before a general audience in the St. Peter's Square recently.

GRANDPARENTS. The Pope told his audience that wherever he went in the Phl the youngsters in the crowd would keep cheering "Lolo Kiko! Lolo Kiko!" It was an endearing address meaning "Grandpa Francisco!" The Pontiff's speech was addressed to grandparents who made up the bulk of the crowd. Among other things the Pope stressed the need for grandparents to understand the youth of today, including their grandchildren.
