The link between great leadership and high libido
It was Sigmund Freud who first suggested a direct link between men's and women's great leadership, competence and skills and their high levels of libido or sexual prowess and performances in bed. We have no pretensions at some familiarity with human behaviorism and psycho-analysis, but we seem to agree, with Freud on such a psychological thesis, based on actual empirical illustration. We suggest, dear readers, that you do not take our words on their face value. Test them insofar as your leaders are concerned.
As for us, we have four great examples, two in Philippine history, namely President Manuel Luis Quezon and President Ferdinand E. Marcos, and two from US politics, namely, President John Fitzgerald Kennedy and President Bill Clinton. Then, we hasten to add our national hero, the greatest Malayan who ever lived, Dr Jose Protacio Rizal. These five great men have proven themselves as leaders. They also have had very colorful sex lives, romances, and love stories.
President Manuel L. Quezon, no doubt, was one of our greatest presidents. His passionate advocacy for Philippine independence, and his demonstrated successes in reconciling a number of socio-economic and political conflicts during his times, illustrated his excellent leadership skills and competence. But less known to the Filipinos was his notorious weakness for women. Before and after marrying his cousin, Doña Aurora, he was involved in a number of romantic entanglements. He was good-looking, mestizo and dressed well, that he was always seen with sartorial elegance.
President Ferdinand E. Marcos was linked with a lot of women before, during and after he married the magnificent Imeldific beauty from Tacloban. He was brilliant with a much applauded eloquence and legal acumen. He was not tall, not a mestizo like Quezon, but Marcos had a fantastic way with women. No matter what you say about him, he was, to me, a great leader, and visionary, brilliant, strategic, and was able to grasp both the intricacies of global and regional politics, as well as the nuances of domestic socio-economic realities.
In the US, my favorite Presidents are JFK and Bill Clinton, along with FDR, or Franklin Delano Roosevelt. JFK's sexual proclivity and passion was legendary,(he was even linked to Marilyn Monroe) as his leadership was also outstanding. He was always able to inspire people not only in the US but all over the world. The same is true with Clinton. He is a very inspiring person, a terrific speaker like JFK and has a fantastic sense of humor. His alleged affairs with Monica Lewinsky almost ended in his impeachment, but no one seriously questioned his ability to lead and rally people to his causes.
Today, we have heard of some funny rumors of some romantic complications involving young lovers. If you try to examine the personalities involved, you will find out that the lovers are all brilliant and inspiring leaders, good-looking and eloquent speakers. Dr Jose P. Rizal had more than ten women, including German, Japanese, and Filipino. There is indeed a link between leadership and libido. If you do not believe this, try to assess the mediocrity of today's leaders who have no real women in their romantic life. They fail. Their EQ, like their love life, are zero.
