Harana

HARANA. A group of men in their 40s and 50s have agreed to revive the traditional harana (serenade) this coming Valentine’s Day. They plan to sing love songs of years gone by in the homes of woman they have married after serenading them when they were still young and single.
FUN. “We’re doing this just for fun and to rekindle the old flame,” one member of the group, a doctor, said to our Ear informer. “Suwayan namo buhion ang kalayo nga nagdilaab adtong mga batan-on pa kami ug ang among mga misis na ron.”
