THE EAR - The Freeman

TARP GREETINGS. A big tarpauliin printed with greetings to Pope Francis was seen in a barangay in the city. It carried the names of local government unit officials. The greetings (with blown up photo of the chief executive) could've been done in good faith but some people were heard calling it an epal or political material.

NICKNAMES. Pinoy students who are used to giving nicknames to their close friends have given endearing names to Pope Francis. In Manila some students called the Holy Father "Papa Kiko." In Tacloban a student was heard calling the Pope "Lolo Kiko." Here in Cebu a group of colegialas referred to the Pope as "Papa Kiko." In Bacolod and Iloilo he is "Tiyo Isko."
