The ingrates

THE EAR - The Freeman

PRAYER. On the day super typhoon Hagupit or Ruby was expected to hit Cebu about a hundred people (neighbors in a subdivision) gathered in a chapel to seek God's help that their place be spared from the typhoon. They prayed the Oratio Imperata, the prayer against calamities.

SPARED. An Ear informer, one of those who prayed for deliverance from the typhoon, said their place wasn't touched a bit" by the typhoon. "Nitaligsik lang, way uwan, way hangin," said The Ear informer. "Pero, sad to say, duha ra ka tawo ang hikit-an nibalik sa kapilya aron magpasalamat." He added: "Hasta ko hapit sad nalimot." A retired monsenyor said: "That is human nature but God understands, He made those ingrates."
