Subject: Incomplete information & misleading statements

May I invite your attention to the above subject, perusal of the opinion captioned Antonio Y. Depio Highway, Cebu" which appeared on The Freeman dated Nov. 6, 2014 revealed the following errors:
1) The town of Tabuelan was not mentioned in the 4th paragraph;
2) The name of Marcelo B. Fernan was not mentioned as Chief Justice of the SC. He succeeded Pedro Yap when the latter retired on June 30, 1988. The reign of Pedro Yap as chief magistrate lasted only for two months, that is, from April 23, 1988 (the date Claudio Teehaankee retired as chief justice) until June 30, 1988. However, Fernan's term as Chief Justice lasted for three years and six months because he quit in December, 1991 to run for vice president in the 1992 elections. He lost to Joseph Estrada.
3) The correct name of Antonio Bacalso is Antonio Bacaltos not Bacalso as printed therein.
4) On the 8th paragraph, the name of Lorenzo Teves from Negros Oriental was mentioned. x x x x x x x . like Lorenzo Teves (from the province of Or. Negros)who was elected congressman of the old district 1st district of Cebu, xxxx How could he be elected as congressman of Cebu when he comes from Negros Oriental?? (“Misleading”)
