Weekend visitors

NEGRENSES. Did you know that there are some Negrense ( Oriental) families who spend their weekend in Cebu – some regularly, others once in a while. An Ear informer said the Negrenses come to enjoy the nightlife, the food, and/or just a change of environment.

NO GUIDE. The Negrenses come via the backdoor of Cebu (Samboan or Santander) where there are motor launches (“lantsa”) traveling regularly between Cebu and Negros Or. “Wa silay travel guide kay kasagaran nila suheto naman sa Cebu,” our informer said. They stay overnight in some pension houses. “Pero naay pipila nga mabuntagan sa casino,” our source said.
