Presidential appointments of Cebu in 1947
When Senator Manuel Acuna Roxas assumed the presidency on May 28, 1946, he made appointments until his death on April 15, 1948. The following were appointed by President Roxas for positions in Cebu:
Severo Verallo : Mayor of Bogo, appointed on July 3, 1947.
Juan Singco : Mayor of Ginatilan, appointed on July 3, 1947.
Pedro D. Sepulveda: Mayor of Danao, Aniceto Gonzales as Vice Mayor of Danao and Eugenio Olivar as Councilor of Danao. The appointment was dated July 5, 1947.
Florencio S. Rusiana as Vice Mayor of Samboan and Arsenio Teves as Councilor of Samboan. They were appointed on June 24, 1947.
Mauricia A. Ybanez: Vice Mayor of Tabogon, appointed on July 5, 1947.
Pedro Borinaga: Councilor of Pilar, Camotes, appointed on July 5, 1947.
Eulogio Cortez: Councilor of Argao, appointed on July 11, 1947.
Pedro Cortes: Vice Mayor of Carmen, appointed on September 3, 1947.
Gaudencio Buaya: Councilor of Moalboal, appointed on September 8, 1947.
Mateo Maquilang: Vice Mayor of Cordoba (now spelled as Cordova), appointed on September 19, 1947.
Anastacio Capangpangan, Jose Tomongha and Julian Hayag: Councilors of Consolacion, appointed on September 25, 1947.
Policarpio Quintana: Vice Mayor of Alegria, Gavino Homecillo, Vicente Homecillo, Nicomedes Legaspi and Pelagio Pueblos: Councilors of Alegria, appointed on September 26, 1947.
Vicente Escalona and Domingo Manzanares: Councilors of Bantayan, appointed on September 29, 1947.
Nemesio Catalan: Councilor, San Francisco, Camotes, appointed on August 7, 1947.
Pedro Basubas: Mayor of Mandawe (now spelled as Mandaue) and Sergio Sanchez as Councilor of Mandawe, appointed on August 23, 1947.
Eduardo Sasing: Councilor of Liloan, appointed on August 20, 1947.
Tereso M. Dosdos: Ad Interem Judge of the Municipal Court of Cebu City, Branch II, appointment made on July 11, 1947.
A year earlier, Zosimo Osayan was appointed Councilor of Medellin on November 26, 1946.
