The VACC fights vs rape of our democracy

The die has been cast against the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) when a petition signed by election lawyers, Atty. Glenn Chiong, Prof. Nelson Celis of Automated Election System (AES) Watch Organization, Melchor Magdamo and Rev. Wendell Unlayao asked the Supreme Court (SC) to declare the 2013 Senatorial Elections “null and void” because of strong evidence of “electronic dagdag-bawas.” Finally, there is some hope that the massive electronic dagdag-bawas poised upon the Filipino voter could finally be given justice in this justice-starved nation.

The National Transformation Council (NTC), during its Lipa Declaration (Sept. 27) and Cebu Declaration (Oct. 1) where the delegates saw the powerpoint presentation of Atty. Glenn Chiong (and Rev. Greco Belgica) on how the PCOS machines were misused by the Comelec, these allegations resulted in the making of their respective declarations asking the Aquino regime to relinquish their posts because they consider them “de facto” officials for having won their elections through fraud and deceit via PCOS machines!

These are very serious accusations against the Comelec and the Aquino regime because the NTC accuses them of usurping the voting rights of the Filipino people by using or manipulating the Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) to vote 60% for Liberal Party candidates, 30% for UNA candidates and 19% for those who do not belong to any big political parties. Filipino voters do not understand what is happening to our elections because they are ignorant about electronic vote counting. Few people realized that the elections were already over even before the Filipino voters troop to the polling centers because of the cheating PCOS machines!

But apolitical computer experts, notably Information Technology (IT) Professor Alex Muga of the Ateneo University stumbled on the now infamous 60-30-10 phenomenon, and the time is ripe for the Supreme Court to hear his testimony on this voting cheating scenario via PCOS machines. Incidentally this 45-page petition was bolstered by a new ally in that anti-crime crusading group Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC).

 VACC came into the national limelight fighting for justice in the 1991 rape/slay of the wife of Lauro Vizconde, Estrellita and 19-year-old daughter Carmela and 6-year-old Jennifer on June 30, 1991. This ended with the conviction of Hubert Webb and his gang which was then considered the “Trial of the Century” VACC was also in the forefront of the rape-slay of Eileen Sarmenta and her boyfriend Allan Gomez, that ended with the double life term conviction of Calauan Mayor Antonio Sanchez.

In Cebu City, VACC also sought for Justice when the sisters Jacqueline and Marijoy Chiong were raped and killed by Paco Larrañaga and seven of his friends. Now the case against the Comelec has been bolstered by the entry of the VACC… after all as their name implies, they are against Crime and Corruption and they are apolitical. Now the VACC joins this petition against the Comelec because many people believe the Comelec officials manipulating the PCOS machines committed a grave crime against the Filipino people who were obviously motivated by corruption.

In this latest petition, the plaintiffs cited the decision of the Regional Trial Court of Nueva Ecija that declared a huge discrepancy between the PCOS-generated results and manual recount of votes for senatorial candidate Bro. Eddie Villanueva. The Comelec explained his huge discrepancy to “functional equivalence” of the ballot imaging. This could never happen in the old style manual elections. 

This is not to mention that Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes himself admitted on record before a Senate inquiry that the PCOS machines counted non-existent votes or nullified valid votes. The Comelec chairman also admitted that “accidental lines” that Atty. Glenn Chiong showed in his power point presentation “may have resulted in the proclamation of “Accidental Senators.” That testimony by the Comelec Chairman triggered an earlier petition before the Supreme Court filed by 2013 Senatorial candidates Christian Señeres, Lito David, Baldomero Falcone and Ricardo Penson.

So kudos to Anti-Crime Crusader Dante Jimenez for shifting the VACC from the crime of rape and killing to the Rape of Philippine democracy! Yes it is time for the Supreme Court to find out the truth behind the 2013 elections and how it the PCOS machines were manipulated to cheat the Filipino voter. This could also lead to the investigation of the 2010 Presidential elections. Remember when you use machines like computers, it is garbage in and garbage out. The petitioners say that the Comelec put in the garbage in the PCOS machines. This is why our Democracy has gone to the garbage dump! So let’s all pray that the Supreme Court do us Justice!
