Peaceful ending

END. As of this writing, the pro-democracy people power demonstration in Hong Kong is slowly coming to an end. A member of the Global Doves Society in Manila has congratulated Beijing authorities for the return to peace in Hong Kong.

PEACEFUL. The member of the peace advocacy group said: "Unlike in Tiananmen where many demonstrators were killed, no life was reported lost in the Hong Kong pro-democracy demo."

TIRED. He said that's the way to bring a riotous demo to a bloodless ending: "Just let the demonstration go until the demonstrators get tired and call it quits."
