Losing hope? Try God
When I was a cub reporter in the old Manila Times, I apologized to my editor for making a mistake in the school news I wrote. My editor quoted to me what William Randolph Hearst said: "Don't be afraid to make a mistake, your readers might like it."

If you're a journalist you must know who William Randolph Hearst was. He was an American editor and publisher who founded a news empire consisting of 30 big dailies.

Gensan continues to be a booming city. It says here that in the latest boom nine people were hurt.

Before I proceed I would like to acknowledge with thanks receipt of an inspirational piece from someone who identified himself simply as "Your Brod in Christ." It's entitled "Try God." It says...

"When troubles are deep and your world is dark, don't give up hope. Try God. When life turns sour and you've lost your way, don't give up hope. Try God. When fears stack up and you're sure no one cares, don't give up hope. Try God. God will never give up on you."

"Pa arrested for raping 13-year-old daughter"--Headline. People like this Pa who rape their own daughter are insulting the police. They belittle the cops ability to get them.
* * *
The headline says: "Abad hit with coins, insults at UP." Being hit with coins is already an insult. It shows Abad deserves only coins which in some places in Phl some boys use as bullets for slingshots.

It says here that "House is cool to emergency powers for Noy." Even then it continues to be a hot issue in media.

Senate Majority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano says Vice President Binay -- a lawyer -- refused to say anything under oath. Oh, well, you said it, Sir Senator. VP Binay is a lawyer. Maybe a good lawyer who knows the art of saving one's neck.

OVERHEARD. A Chinese newspaper in Beijing has been reported to have attacked the Phl for being unfriendly to Chinese nationals residing in the country. Among those who came out to deny the accusation is a long time Chinese resident in Cebu and Cagayan de Oro. Fluent in Cebuano, this Chinese resident said: "Nagpataka ra man nang pamantalaan." He said he has lived in Phl for years and this he could say: "Mas daghan pa ko'g mga higala dinhi kay sa akong mga igsuon didto China."
