THE EAR - The Freeman

QUARREL. A young wife, after a serious quarrel with her husband 10 years her senior, wanted to break up with him despite the advice of their parish priest who wanted to keep the two-year marriage intact. "Dili mahimo, Father, makigbuwag gyud ko," she told the priest.

MAGAZINES. Our Ear informer said the cause of the marital trouble was a bunch of men's magazines in the husband's locker and a few others under his pillow. The magazines are for men and carry photos of men in vulgar poses and attire.

GAY. The wife told the parish priest: "Father, bakla ang nabana ko. Bakla, Father, bakla." The priest did not know what or how to react, our informer said.
