Throwing out PNoy's impeachment complaint

SHOOTING STRAIGHT - Bobit S. Avila - The Freeman

So the House of Representatives Committee on Justice chaired by Rep. Neil Tupas, Jr. finally threw out the three impeachment complaints against Pres. Benigno Aquino III as insufficient in substance and lacking in facts and therefore they found those complaints as "Nada!"

Of course, I'm not surprised at all. First of all, the chairman of the Committee on Justice is Rep. Tupas who is considered a yellow lapdog of Pres. Aquino. He did the President's bidding in removing and impeaching former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Renato Corona, who was impeached by the House of Representatives in just one hour!

During an interview with Karen Davila and Ces Drilon in Bandila last Tuesday evening, Rep. Tupas said the Committee on Justice overwhelmingly threw out the impeachment complaints against the President. He insisted that he was impartial as he is the chairman of the Committee. But the whole nation knows that Tupas wasn't impartial at all. On the air, he even declared that Malacañang didn't call him on this issue. Of course Malacañang doesn't need to call on Tupas because it already knew that he would squash the impeachment complaints against the President.

So I don't think we can wait for another year before anyone can file another impeachment case vs. PNoy. There is no doubt the members of Congress are still firmly inside the pockets of Pres. Aquino. As I pointed out many times before, the political elite led by Pres. Aquino would close ranks to protect their own against the complaints of the Filipino people, even if the evidence against them are already so glaring!

In short, those leftist organizations that filed the impeachment cases have already exhausted all the legal means to make PNoy answerable to the Filipino people for misappropriation of the people's money through the Disbursement Acceleration Program, which has been declared as unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. So where do we go from here?

We can expect more indignant Filipinos to march the streets in protest against the Aquino Regime. With the numerous problems plaguing this country, from teachers' salaries that are still delayed even if these were increased already…from prices of basic goods skyrocketing, the Filipino people could only take so much. In Metro Manila, the Metro Rail Transit is bogging down almost every day and the DOTC doesn't seem to know how to solve its problems. There's congestion in the streets of Metro Manila, congestion at the NAIA Airport and there seems to be no solution in sight.

Yet, Pres. Aquino is even thinking of changing the charter so he can be given another term of office and worse, he wants to clip the powers of the Supreme Court. Now that his threat of impeachment is gone… I'm sure that PNoy will be strutting about like a proud peacock, secure that there are no longer anymore threats to his Presidency. Hmmm… really?

We all read that last Monday the National Bureau of Investigation foiled an attempt to detonate a car bomb inside the Ninoy Aquino International Airport  and four people identified as military reservists who used a Toyota Revo with plate number WMK 129 containing improvised explosive devices, mostly banned firecrackers such as Goodbye Philippines wrapped in round bottles with gasoline were arrested for this incident. Everything about this incident sounded a little bit too weird. How could firecrackers be used as a bomb?

My suspicions grew when we heard that the reason the four arrested military reservists gave to the NBI was that Pres. Aquino was too soft in our territorial dispute between the Philippines and China. Come now, does anyone buy this story, huh? I haven't heard of anyone get so mad at the President for being soft to China until now. But mad to the point of trying to bomb NAIA is for me a yarn that ought to be investigated outright.

Mind you, I'm not alone in my thoughts on this incident. Many of my friends already texted me that they find this incident unbelievable. Given the fact that the Aquino Regime uses his yellow propaganda machinery to spread lies to the Filipino people… we could be in for a surprise number.

If you didn't know, security at the NAIA has been so lax since Gen. Angel Honrado took over the airport in July 2010. Remember that shooting incident nearly a year ago that happened at the NAIA? That's how lax security has been in NAIA. Now they suddenly caught these Brady bunch trying to bomb the NAIA so as to catch the attention of PNoy to take a strong stand against the Chinese in the Ayungin Shoal? If you ask me, the NBI isn't telling us the real story here. We know that a lot of Filipinos are stupid, but no Filipino is that stupid to try to bomb the NAIA with firecrackers! Come on guys… tell that yarn to the Marines!
