Farmers

THE EAR - The Freeman

FARMERS. At least 500 high school were asked if they would follow in the footsteps of their farmer-fathers. Less than 100 said they would the rest said they intend to pursue courses in college like engineering, computer technology, commerce, and other courses far away from farming.

LIKE FATHER. Those who intend to follow the footsteps of their fathers said they would do so because their families own the land their fathers tilled. And because of these reasons: 1) Their farmer-fathers are getting old; 2) The country needs more farmers; and 3) There is more money in farming then in, say, engineering if one goes into it with sincere intention.
