FOOTBALL. The world is agog over World Cup 2014. Football lovers, including here in Cebu, spend time to watch top class football matches on tv. But there was one barangay in the city where some residents, who preferred basketball to football boycotted a sari-sari store whose owner refused to give in to their request to show PBA games.

REASON. The Ear informer learned that the residents' reason for preferring PBA games over the World Cup games in Brazil is that they're betting on their favorite cage teams. "Wa mi kalibutan sa mga teams gaduwa sa World Cup." one resident said. "May'g gaduwa diha ang Azkals."
