English-Binisaya

INVITATION. A resident of Labangon, Cebu City went to the US on invitation of his daughter living in New York. At the NY airport, he asked a worker where he could get his checked-in luggage and was directed to the toilet. He later said to his daughter: "Mga Kano di man kasabot ininglesan ko. Unsa man diay linguahe dinhi?"

ENGLISH. "Ay English gud.  Amerika gud ni," replied the daughter. The father already in his 70s felt bad when the daughter said: "English man sulti dinhi pero dili English-binisaya." Our Ear informer said: "Nalain ang tiguwang sa gisulti sa iyang anak gustong mouli na lang sa Sugbo."
