Fake peso bill

THE EAR - The Freeman

WARNING. The Central Bank has again warned the public against fake peso bills. Anyone caught in possession of any of the fake bills will face charges. The owner of a sari-sari store who had received a fake P1,000 bill wanted to turn over the bogus bill to the police but was stopped by his wife.

PLAY SAFE. The wife reminded the husband that the warning said: "Anyone in possession of a fake peso bill" could face charges. So what did the couple do with the fake bill? They burned it. "Maynalang na kay sa lisud-lisuron nya ta," the wife said.
