THE EAR - The Freeman

WEATHER. Interviews  made by a master’s student with 20 or so of her schoolmates showed that only two or three could understand the weather report on TV and/or the radio. She quoted some of the interviewees as saying: "The weather reporter's language is too technical."

VERNACULAR. Our master’s student said even weather reports in the vernacular still could not be easily understood by many of those she interviewed. "Actually, dili kini complaints," she said. "Ila ra ning obserbasyon sa weather reports."
