Commotion on board a bus

FIGHT ON BOARD. There was a commotion on board a passenger bus travelling north caused by a fight between two friends over the result of a PBA game. The fight erupted when one of the friends tried to collect his won bet on San Mig Coffee. The bettor on the losing team Rain or Shine refused to pay until after the scheduled third meeting of the two teams.

FRIENDS. The bettors were said to be friends (kumpares) but that did not prevent the fight between winner and loser even as the bus was on the way to its destination. Both friends sustained blackeyes. But further violence was prevented by the usual cooler heads. "Kumpare man ta pero di ko gustong tikason," said the winning bettor.
