It says here that the city's burial aid takes almost a year to get. It will be faster if we let the dead help the living collect the aid.

In one news story I read, it said that one bag containing P8 million to P10 million of kickbacks for one lawmaker had to be put in a bag with rollers. That is, bag with wheels.

It says here that more pork barrel scam players want to talk. "Well, let them talk but they must walk the talk," says a mediaman who prefers to remain unnamed.

Business news: Jollibee has posted the fastest profit growth in seven years. It would be unfair to the kids if they're not given some credit for this profit growth.

Ask the first bunch of kids you meet where they want to go for snacks. Ten to one, the answer would be 'lebee.

During the World Hijab Day celebration last Feb. 1, Filipino women (the non-Muslims) were challenged: "Dare to Cover." Few dared. Maybe, just maybe, because of the high cost of clothing material.

Hijab is a Muslim women's garment. Some sort of a veil that covers the head and chest. Some congresswomen tried to wear the Hijab for a day, picking up the "Dare to  Cover" challenge, but took off the veil in less than a day.

OVERHEARD: Two happenings made the world sit up and take notice of the Philippines this week. First it was super typhoon Yolanda and then there was Michael Christian Martinez, the Winter Olympics 2014 skating sensation. Comment: "Ang mga kauwaw nato tungod sa graft ug corruption natabunan sa dakong kadungganan nga nahimo sa Pinoy figure skater nga si Michael. Comment 2: "Bitaw pero lagot ko sa mga scorer didto sa Sochi. Matud sa mga commentator brilliant, impressive, dazzling ang atong manok apan gamay rang score ang gihatag sa scorer."
