The benefits of Alzheimer's disease

THE EAR - The Freeman

FOR WORSE. Today many people over 65 suffer from Alzheimer's disease, a degenerative disease that affects the precognition and memory of those inflicted. However, for one family, the disease has done wonders. According to the man he and his mother-in-law never got along, even before he married his wife. It even came to the point where they almost killed each other during a violent argument.

FOR BETTER. All that changed after the mother-in-law started getting Alzheimer's. Now it seems she has forgotten how much they fought in the past. She has even warmed up to her son-in-law, asking after when he is not around and embracing him whenever he arrives home. With that, she still suffers from Alzheimer's, and often asks the same questions to the same people she meets every day. “Katulo lagi sad mangutana sa mao gihapon nga pangutana kada oras, pero at least peace na mi,” the man told The Ear.
