Why we say a big “NO” to snap elections!
With the impasse happening in our nation today, where the mainstream media continues its Pork Barrel crusade-cum-circus with new developments surfacing everyday and with all the leaders of the independent branches of the Philippine Government holding on to their ground…that Pres. Benigno “PNoy†Aquino, III did not commit any bribery as accused by former senator Joker Arroyo and Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago…the Filipino people are just simply lost at where we should all be heading next.
The door to an impeachment trial has literally been shut by the heads of the Senate and Congress. We can no longer rely on the Executive Branch's Department of Justice Sec. Leila de Lima to file the necessary case against the plunderers in the government because only a full-fledged idiot would believe that she would bite the hand that appointed her to the DOJ. So again…we ask the poignant question…what are we to do about the massive criminal scandal going on at the House of Representatives and the Executive Branch for the misuse of the Pork Barrel?
As we already wrote…we “The Boss†are running out of options. But suddenly there was one option that came out of the social networking sites, when someone suggested having a “Snap Electionsâ€. Snap elections happened in this country when ABC's Nightline Talkshow Host Ted Koppel held a satellite interview with then Pres. Ferdinand Marcos, which was also aired in the Philippines where Ted Koppel challenged Marcos to snap elections. In reply, Pres. Marcos immediately agreed and the rest is history.
Why did Pres. Marcos agree to snap elections when he still had a few years as the constitutionally elected President of the Philippines? Of course we now know this in hindsight, that it was Marcos' way of getting himself “legitimized†for another few years because he knew he would win that snap elections because the Comelec already perfected its cheating machinery, which was in the tabulation of votes. It was during the tabulation of votes that the 35 computer programmers walked out in disgust, thus exposing the massive cheating by Marcos henchmen against then candidate Cory Aquino. That walkout triggered the EDSA Revolt and the rest as they say is history.
So should we ask…or demand from Pres. Benigno “PNoy†Aquino III to agree to hold snap elections? If you ask me…we are treading on very dangerous ground here. In fact, I suspect that this suggestion comes from rabid Aquino supporters, who still believe in that yarn that Pres. Aquino is spotlessly clean. These people believe that the May 2013 elections was a clean sweep by the Liberal Party who won the polls fair and square.
These people refuse to believe what Ateneo I.T. Professor Alex Muga discovered that the electronic Dagdag Bawas was done which was concurred by many independent and apolitical IT specialist that cheaters inputted a 60 percent-30 percent-10 percent votes in favor of the LP, UNA and the rest of those who ran in that political race. A faithful reader of mine who used to write me his comments about my columns has now become a columnist for the Manila Times and he emailed me his thoughts about the 2013 elections. So allow me to reprint his letter to me about the 60-30-10.
“Bobit, The '60-30-10' was programmed to cheat in 2013 mid-term elections. Two IT experts who are good friends of mine confirmed it. A former classmate of mine in Engineering in La Salle U, who became an IT professional in the US, told me over lunch at the Manila Polo Club where he is a member that he already noticed the '60-30-10' pattern before it was exposed.
Another IT expert friend, who is a foreigner based in Manila for more than 20 years, confirmed to me that '60-30-10' when we had lunch two months ago in Makati. He heads the IT of a multinational company in Manila. Before Manila, he was also based in Asia, doing business in the Philippines through their Filipino partners. My Filipino friend told me that he did an intensive study and that computerized electoral fraud is easy to do. Next time you are in Manila, I will arrange a meeting so you can hear to what he told us before.
By the way, the same cheating also happened with the local government. The Mayor of Antipolo lost to former Rizal Governor Ynares Jr. through computer fraud. The AES Watch Group is very credible. Gus Lagman is an IT Veteran of more than 35 years. He even owns a computer company and college (STI or one of those companies). I have also known Gus for the past 30 years. His integrity is beyond reproach.
I last saw him last late May in the Inquirer office in Makati. Their group gave a briefing to the Inquirer editors and columnists. I had a meeting with Volt who is the Editor of the Metro Section where we exposed DPWH anomalies.â€
I have no doubt that Pres. PNoy knew about the “60-30-10†which his henchman and former LP lawyer Sixto Brillantes hatched for a massive LP victory. It is for this reason why we should never agree to snap elections, as the Comelec will simply cheat us blind as they did in the 2013 elections.
