If the people are angry …God must be angry!

Have you ever wondered why all of a sudden the Aquino regime is on the defensive despite its Nazi type propaganda (like the questionable SWS or Pulse Asia surveys on the President’s popularity) offensive campaign telling the Filipino people less than half the truth? Gads, you folks really have short memories. Last June 8 the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) held the national consecration of the Philippines to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in all the basilicas, churches and chapels all over the Philippines seeking our Blessed Mother’s maternal protection, and suddenly in less than three months, the nation is once again in turmoil! This is a divine cleansing to prepare our nation for the up and coming International Eucharistic Congress in the year 2016.

Who would believe that there would be a “Million Man” March against President Benigno “P-Noy” Aquino III who came into power with his anti-corruption slogan “kung walang corrupt, walang mahirap”? Now his regime is losing fast its credibility, even if the President himself has not been tainted with corruption (although P-Noy still has to tell the nation where he got his Porsche, did he pay taxes on it and to whom did he sell it to?) but there is no doubt that P-Noy has committed the sin of omission. Surely he must know who are the corruptors in the Bureau of Customs (BOC)!

Indeed what is happening to this country is nothing short of divine. While Janet Lim Napoles has been doing her scam even in the previous administration, she continued well into the three years of the Aquino regime. Only an angry God who watches over us would spill the beans on the greatest corruption that has been perpetrated by our political elite for the last 27 years, making them powerful using the people’s money and extremely rich beyond anyone’s wildest dreams.

Of course, there will be people who would tell me that God had nothing to do with it. But I dare say that ever since the nation was consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary last June 8, the truth about our sick nation has finally surfaced. In Luke 12:3 our Lord Jesus Christ said, “Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.” This is a kind of prophecy coming true about our dirty kind of politics.

As I said not everyone will believe what I’m saying especially when I write about matters of faith. But I have a quote for them from St. Thomas Aquinas who said, “To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.” Fortunately, I have a great number of readers who understand me when I write about faith matters, which is why no further explanation is necessary.

As far as the surrender of the celebrity fugitive Janet Lim Napoles is concerned, let me just quote the first part of The Philippine STAR’s editorial yesterday, “Even in surrendering, Janet Lim Napoles got royal treatment. No less than the President of the Republic accepted her surrender, and it was the Presidential Security convoy that brought her to the Philippine National Police headquarters at Camp Crame where she is now held without bail.”

Of the hundreds of ways for Janet Lim Napoles to surrender… Malacañang had to get into the act. Now people are openly saying in the coffeehouses all over the country that there must have been some kind of deal hatched between Napoles and the President, some kind of a quid pro quo? Now people are asking more questions than ever, like how much did Napoles contribute to the Liberal Party campaign? Was P-Noy involved with Napoles when he was a Senator or Congressman? But then would Department of Justice (DoJ) Secretary Leila del Lima have the guts to go this far into her investigation? I think not!

Then there’s that statement by Napoles lawyer Atty. Lorna Kapunan as to why her client is the only one sent behind bars. In my book it insults my intelligence if we called Napoles the “brains” or the mastermind behind the P10-billion scam because she couldn’t have done so without a dancing partner like a Senator or a Congressman. To date, we are deluged with so many text messages, not to mention Twitter and Facebook quotes, from an angry people.

But the best text I got was this piece, “FYI, Imagine 80% sa mga Senators, Congressmen at iba pang high gov’t officials natin ditto sa Pinas ay graduate ng UP, Ateneo, La Salle at high end schools. 60% sa kanila graduate ng masteral and doctorate sa Harvard, MIT, Sunhurst, Oxford, AIM, etc. and 87% ng top bureaucrats are Career Execs (CESO/CSEE/MNSA) pero naisahan sila nang graduate ng 6 months, obsolete course na RCO (Radio Communications Operator) ng Samson Institute of Technology si Janet Napoles. Only in the Philippines! It’s more fun in the Philippines!” Need we say more? If the Filipino people were angry at Luneta last Monday… God too is angry!
