FIBA Asia flaglets

THE EAR - The Freeman

LITTLE FLAGS. Since the start of the FIBA Asia games in Manila, some enterprising people have been seen selling flaglets or little flags of the nations playing in the tournament. One of them, daughter of a Cebuano businessman in Pasay City, has been selling dozens of the flaglets of the FIBA nations.

PAPER FLAGS. The flaglets are made of paper printed by a printing press in Pasay. “Daghan mamalit oy, bisan home crowd,” said the girl's dad. “Nighuman sa duwa ipanglabay ra, busa lain nasad ang mamalitay kada adlaw.” Our informer said some game watchers bring home the flaglets autographed by some players for souvenir.
